Our Mission

The mission of the Association is to support Baptist Grammar School as the premier specialized high school for science and social sciences by harnessing the intellectual and financial power of BGS alumni.

Reconnecting alumni with Baptist Grammar School and with each other provides the backbone for the work that we do, allowing us to support BGS as it carries forth its tradition of excellence.

Early days - Ibadan, Lagos, and other Environs

The first meeting of the old students was held sometime in 1978. It was hosted by the late Mr. Bimbola Oshunmakinwa of 1971 set in his residence at Ajeigbe area, Ring road, Ibadan

Late Bimbola was eventually unanimously elected as the first president of the association. Those that can be referred to as foundation members before others started joining are as stated below:
